YWAM Queenstown has operated out of an old church building on the shore of Lake Wakatipu since we ran our first school in 2015. This building’s main room is our lecture hall, sanctuary, and dining room, as well as the hub of activity at the base. Also included on the same property are our offices, kitchen, and a classroom usually occupied by our secondary schools.
Accommodations for our students and staff have changed over the years, and we have rented a variety of properties in the Frankton/Queenstown area. In late 2018, we received an opportunity to move into accommodations designed specifically for us. Our students and staff live together in community in what we affectionately call “the Cottages”. The property is made up of four units, each with 8 rooms, a comfortable communal kitchen, dining room, and a living space.
