Before the creation of the world, Father, Son and Holy Spirit wanted to invite us in. Hospitality is an expression of the heart of God. It shows His humility, selflessness and sacrificial love. The Greek word in the Bible for hospitality is philoxenia (φιλοξενία), which translates to "love of strangers". There are many examples in the Bible of Jesus loving strangers, the outcasts, the sick and everyone in between. The hospitality that Jesus lived out changed the world, and we are to follow in His steps. Throughout the Hospitality DTS, we will look at Jesus’ example of true hospitality and explore different ways we can show hospitality to others.
If hospitality is something you’re passionate about or want to grow in, join us for this DTS and see what radical hospitality can do!
All DTSs in a term will participate in the same DTS Lecture Phase schedule as unique "tracks", hearing the same lectures and living and growing alongside the other students during that quarter. Throughout those 12 weeks, each track will have opportunities and activities to pursue its unique focus and discover how God can use our passions for the kingdom!
